Wang Rongjie, who completed his Ph.D. at Sun Yat-sen University in December 2012 and was a visiting scholar at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at Jimei University. He has been recognized as a Young Talent in Transportation by the Ministry of Transport, an Outstanding Teacher in Fujian Province, and an Advanced Teacher in Xiamen City. Wang has also been selected for various high-level talent development programs, including the High-level Talent Cultivation Program of the Transportation Industry by the Ministry of Transport, the Youth Elite Talent Support Program of Jimei University, the New Century Excellent Talent Support Program of Fujian Province's Higher Education Institutions, and the Outstanding Young Scientific Research Talent Development Program of Fujian Province's Higher Education Institutions.

Currently, he serves concurrently as a Special Researcher for the China Navigation Think Tank (in the field of marine engineering), a member of the Youth Working Committee of the China Power Supply Society, Deputy Director of the "Digital Fujian" Satellite Communications and Ocean Monitoring IoT Laboratory, Vice Chairman of the Fujian Higher Education Institution Electrical Engineering Research Association, Standing Director of the Fujian Automation Society, an expert in Fujian Energy and Power, and Deputy Chairman of the Xiamen Electrical Engineering Society. He has previously served as a member of the Party Leadership Group at the Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau.
